1st March 2008 (Saturday), starting at 2:30pm. Medway beekeepers have established an annual “Open Lecture” series where we invite an expert speaker to give a short lecture on a topic of general or current interest; past speakers have included Brenda Ball and Clive De Bruyn. This year, I am delighted to say that our speaker will be David Kemp, Regional Bee Inspector for the North East. David spent 10 years working with Brother Adam at Buckfast Abbey during the 1960’s and 70’s and has a wonderful set of photographic slides which document life at the Abbey and the exceptional work carried out in the beekeeping enterprise. David is also an excellent speaker. Beekeepers from all of the Kent associations will be invited. There is no admission fee, there is a free tea! The venue is as in previous years, the Medway Council’s “Civic Centre” in Strood. Download More Info PDF
